OUR MISSION STATEMENT
TO PROVIDE A PRAYERFUL VOICE, ATTENTIVE TO THE SPIRIT, THROUGH WHICH THE FAITHFUL CAN ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THE GOVERNANCE AND GUIDANCE OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
We work towards achieving our mission by pursuing three goals:

Meeting September 12 2017

2017-09-21

It is with a heavy heart that I share with all of you the passing of our friend, VOTF trustee, and past President Mark Mullaney.

Mark and his wife Kathy were founders of Voice of the Faithful and played critical roles in our early years, and throughout our work. Mark not only served two terms as President and Chairman of the Board, he filled in as a acting executive director and other roles as needed.

For 16 years, Mark brought a kind heart and a strong and convincing presence to all of these roles. Seeing him represent us on stage made me feel proud -- he exuded a balance of kindness and sophistication that few ever master. Having his support and advice gave us all strength.

Mark fought his battle with lung cancer these past several years with grace and determination. Through all the treatments and tests and hospital visits, Mark remained active and productive at VOTF until the very last few weeks. He fought the good fight better than anyone I have ever seen and he succeeded for a while. Mark drew his strength from his family and it was for them that he fought so hard.

I will miss Mark's counsel, his cheerful personality, his drive and dedication and most of all his friendship. I am sure I speak for many of you in expressing these sentiments.

Mary Pat Fox
VOTF President

P.S. Mark's obituary and other information are on the George F. Doherty Funeral Home website.
